Nick Walczak (dude, get a website I can link to) has managed (with, I believe, the help of Joe Konstan) to secure funding for Grad Colloquium this Fall from Vital Images.
This means one very important thing: there will be food. Hooray! Guaranteed success.
The current speaker schedule is on the wiki. (There are still spots available if you want to sign up!) It will be at 12:45 every other Friday starting the first week of the semester. Did I mention the food?
My talk will a brief introduction to some ideas in programming languages theory on data abstraction, and how these relate to language extension. It should be an accessible and interesting talk that still manages to touch on ideas related to my research. Afterwards, I may break it up into a few short posts and put it up here.
